As
you turn to run you hear him again.
"Jeff!
Je...." He stops in the middle of your name, like someone shut him up,
for good. Then you hear it, someone or something.
"Jeff,
Jeff, it's to late Jeff, and your next!" You start running as fast as
you can, but you hear it again. "Jeff your next!" It sounds like
they are right next to you. You run faster not looking behind you.
"Jeff
you're next!" It is still right beside you.
You
turn, and it's David running next to you, as you slow down, you see his shirt
is covered in blood, you start to ask what happened when you see he has no
face, something ripped his face off. He wrapped what once were his arms around
you and drags you back to the yard where you are never heard from again.

The
troll passes you and David, he didn't see you. As he passes Nick he says.
"Good
luck Nick, you'll need it. The Warlock is in the center of the house. You
only have 6 hours left. Then all is lost." The troll never slowed down.
"Waite."
Calls Nick, as he goes after the troll.
"If
I stop the Warlock will know something wrong. There are a few of us that can
help you. Use your ring, call the forces that came before you, and we will
appear. Be warned when you do this the Warlock will be able to track you,
and will also send his men. You must go now." Warns the troll.
Nick
runs back to where you are waiting by the wall.
"Why
aren't the lights on?" Asks Nick.
"ON."
Your finger lit up. "This is great!" You say.
"Don't
get to use to it, they will only work while we are in this place. We must
find the center of the house." Nick explains what the troll told him.

"But
what about your father?" You ask.
"If
we kill the Warlock he will be free, if we don't, we will all be dead, so
it really won't matter." Says Nick.
You
are crawling in a line now because the passage is so small. You see a door,
but it's locked.

You
are in a dimly lit hallway, your feet are sticking to the floor when you walk,
but since you lost your torch falling down the slide you can't see what is
all over the floor. When you get to the end of the hall, you are looking into
a brightly lit, large dinning room. It is perfectly clean, and the table is
set. When you turn to see what the others want to do, you see that the floor
of the south hallway is covered in blood. It must be from carrying the skinned
bodies from the kitchen to the dinning room.
"Someone's
coming." Says David.
You
all run into the dinning room and hide. A troll slave enters the room with
an empty pitcher. He looks like he is walking over to David, but he stops
at a cabinet. He opens the doors and sets the pitcher inside, you hear a terrible
scream. You try to look around the troll to see what is going on. You see
that the troll has cut off the leg of an elf and is filling the pitcher with
it's blood. The troll turns and fills the glasses with the blood. The troll
mumbles something about dinner time and walks up the hall towards the kitchen.
"Thick
wine." Remarks David.
"That's not wine, it's blood from an elf in the cabinet." You explain.
"Someone's
coming again." Says David.

"This
way." Whispers Nick.
You
head out the North passage. Before you get very far you see a hole in the
floor that you can not cross unless you have a rope. There is also a small
hole in the wall shaped like a diamond.

"Thank
you for trusting me, my name is Nick, I am an elfin King."
"You
look like a kid." Says David.
"Yea,
I am only 12, but I have been training all my life to be king, and when the
Warlock took my father I had no choice. I wasn't supposed to be king until
I was 21, and then the Ring of Elders thought that I was the only one trained
well enough to try and save my father and our world. I came here with 3 other
elves, and many more were captured as slaves by the Warlock. Most were turned
into trolls, some were used as food for a creature that you do not want to
meet. Some of the trolls will not harm you, but beware of the ones with the
glowing amulets they are my warriors and the Warlock uses their skill to be
his guards. When you ripped the amulet from my neck you freed me from the
Warlocks spell. I owe you my life, thank you." You and David are listening
while the three of you walk west down a small windy passage.
"I
have been taught magic, by one of the greatest Magic users in the kingdom,
but I am still an apprentice." Nick becomes quite.
"Can
you smell that?" Nick asks.
"Smell
what? Everything stinks down here!" Says David.

"It's
flesh, burning flesh!" Says Nick
The
next thing you here is a scream. It takes you a minute to realize that it
is you who is screaming. You are falling down a shoot, and headed towards
the smell.

You
don't trust him, so you head south. The tunnel smells even worst than the
muck pit you were just in. The troll tells you that you are wasting your time
and maybe your life. You keep trying to ignore the troll, who has told you
only that his name is Nick and he is an elfin king.
"Yea
right, how can you be a king, you can't be more than 12." Says David.
"Please,
I can't explain now. We must go back." Nick tries to make you understand.
But you won't listen, you still think it's a trick.
Now
you are starting to think that maybe Nick was right, because you are standing
on a ledge that over looks a torture chamber.
"Shhh,
look." You whisper.
"What
is that?" David asks pointing down in the chamber.
A
creature stands there, holding something in it's hands. The creature is tall,
it has hair all over it's face, it's mouth sticks out almost like a dogs.
It's teeth are very big and saliva runs down it's face like slime. It's huge
hairy hands with long claws brings whatever it is that it is holding up to
it's mouth. When it opens it's mouth it is so full of green slime, more oozes
out as it takes a bite of what it is holding.

"It's
a head, it is eating an elf's head." Cries Nick.

You
have decided to save you friend at any cost. But first you must take a minute
to organize. You empty your backpack, and you put your lunch in, and a heavy
stick that you found in the garden. This is all you have now, but you may
find things along the way that will help you.

You
get your lunch out of your backpack and throw it to him, you also get out
the stick, just in case. While he begins tearing open the lunch, and eating
it bag and all, you and David realize that you are standing in a room full
of rotting bodies, some animals and some human they all appear to be covered
by what looks like a mixture of snot and puke. (I guess you're glad you didn't
eat your lunch.) The troll finishes his lunch and attacks you anyway. The
troll comes at you with a jeweled sword. David trips it and it falls into
the muck, and vanishes. The walls seem to vibrate, and a voice coming from
nowhere and everywhere says.
"Kill
them, I want both of them dead now! Or it will be you who dies a million deaths."
The
troll comes bubbling up from the muck and you see something around it's neck,
it looks like a amulet. As he raises his sword to attack David the amulet
begins to glow. You throw the torch into the south tunnel so you won't lose
it. Then you grab the troll by the neck to try to stop it. It continues after
David like your not even there. The closer he gets to David the brighter the
amulet glows, you grab the amulet and rip it from it's neck. The troll screams
and falls to it's knees. It seemed to be in pain.
"Help
me...." Begs the troll as he begins to sink into the muck. David grabs
the sword.

When
David and Nick turn to go back They are face to face with three trolls with
amulets.
"Get
them now!!" Echoes from the walls.
David
and Nick fight there best. But it looks like they will be the main course
on tonight's dinner.

Nick
slowly turns the diamond to the right.
"Nothing's
happening." Says David.
"No
wait, it's closing." You say.
The
three of you hurry across the trap, you are almost running when you slam into
an invisible wall.
"There
is something here, and it's moving." You say.
David
who is on your left runs through without stopping. "It's open here."
Calls David.
Nick
runs through behind David and you follow. The hallway is getting narrower
and it is pitch black. You can't see anything.
"David,
where are you?" You whisper.
"Over
here." He answers.
"I
can't see my hands in front of my face. Everyone get together. Is that you
David?" You ask, reaching out to touch someone.
"No.
Maybe it's Nick." David says in a shaky voice.
"Nope,
it's not me either." Says Nick

You
can't move your hand, and you are to scared to say anything. Whatever it is
that you have your hand on is moving like it's breathing heavy, but that's
all. It doesn't seem to be coming any closer or trying to leave.
"Lights."
Commands Nick, and all thirteen of his finger light up like candles.
As
soon as your eyes adjust to the light, you see an elf, like Nick but much
older who is still not moving.
"Father,
father are you all right? I can't believe we found you. Father? What's wrong?"
Nick asks but the elf doesn't answer. "Hold out your hand Jeff."
Nick is talking fast trying to get through to his father. You do as he asks,
and Nick puts his hand next to yours and the tips of your finger are on fire.
All of Nick's fingers are out now.
"Hey,
what are you doing!" You almost yell as you see your fingers burning.
You start to shake you hand to put out the flame.
"Jeff
it doesn't hurt, does it?" Nick asks.
"No.
Cool, check it out David." While you and David play with your fingers,
blowing them out and watching them relight like magic birthday candles, Nick
is trying to talk to his father.

"This
is useless." Says Nick. "He must be in a trance, and unable to use
his powers."
"Now
what?" Asks David.
There
are two passages, one continuing the north, and one going off to the right.
Nick's father begins to walk off down the northern passage. Nick quickly explains
that his father "Tra-ock" is probably under a spell, and he could
be leading you into a trap, or he might have enough magic left to able to
help you by leading you out. But Nick can't be sure if Tra-ock's magic is
strong enough to break through the spell enough to be trusted, but it is possible.

The
hedge around old man Jenkins place is very thick and full of thorns. You push
your backpack through first to try to move most of the stickers. This seems
to work although a few thorns tear your coat and one scratches your hand enough
to bleed a little. As you crawl out of the bushes into a beautiful garden
a drop of blood falls on the hedge. The hedge begins to rustle about, and
you hear moaning from what seem to be caves under the ground.
{(Under
Ground) the cavern are filled with the scent of blood.
"There
is new blood." The walls seem to say.
"But
we already have a young one."
"We
can use him to catch the new one, then we will feast." The voices
seemed to be coming from nowhere and from everywhere.}
(Back with Jeff in the garden.) As you look
around, you see many flowers and the grass is green. It even feels hot like
it's summer. But you know it is almost Christmas and there was even some old
snow on the sidewalk out side the hedge.
"Jeff help me." It's David he's calling from what looks like a small
dog house. You can just fit through the opening.

You see it's very dark inside and it smells
like something is dead and rotting.

You
open the door, and climb in, you inch yourself down slowly. The passage is
steep and you begin to slide faster and faster.
"Oh
man, what's that smell?" Ask David.
"Everything
down here smells, I don't smell anything different." As soon as you finish
saying that it hit's you.
"Whoa,
it smells like an outhouse, only worse!" You say trying not to breath.
"Well
it only seems right, if ghouls eat they must......." Nick doesn't get
to finish because you all fall into (you know what,) up to your necks.
There
is a ledge around the poop pit, with large pipes in it. As you are swimming
over to the ledge. You see something swimming after David.
"David,
hurry there is something behind you." You holler.
Nick
is already on the ledge when you get there. You get the stick out of your
backpack and through it at the thing following David.
"Ouch,
why did you do that." A voice from pit called. "I didn't do anything
to you."
David
is on the ledge now, and the three of you are watching the thing as it stands
up. It's 10 feet tall and has two heads.

"Welcome
to my home. I guess you are going to try to break the spell, and kill the
Warlock?" He asks.
"Yes."
You answer.
He
begins to tell his story. "I was one of the first to come here. My name
is Wedom and I am a time mender. My quest was to close the rip in time and get
home. We didn't know that the Warlock didn't come from this time that we are
now in, but we did know that he was not from our time. Repairing the rip would
be easy, if the Warlock were dead. But with him alive I wouldn't have enough
time. You must kill him, then all the spells will be broken, and we can all
be free. I will be able to fix the rip and your world will be safe. But be
warned you are not the first to come here. There are many lost souls from
many different worlds. Be careful and always go the opposite way of the clock.
Choose your path wisely and you'll always go the right way." And with
that warning the creature goes back under.
There
is a pipe on your right and one on your left. Which will you take?

David
raises the sword to kill the troll, it begs you not to kill it but you don't
listen. As the sword is plunged into the troll, you hear a deep scary laugh
from the walls.
"He
was your only chance." The walls laughed.
"Now
you too will die!"
The
dyeing troll is turning into a elf.
"Your
only chance is to take my ring, use it wisely, or it will be no good."
Mumbles the elf.
You
reach down to take the ring. You know that you have made the wrong decision,
you kill a helpless slave. When you turn around you see three more trolls,
and they are holding David's head, his body is nowhere to be found. The disembodied
head cries out.
"Help
me Jeff!"
What can you do? The two trolls that are not
holding David's head come after you.
"No.
no. Let me out of here!" You scream and before you finish saying that
you find that you are in the garden again.
Is
it over? You wonder or has it just begun.

You
can only remember bits and pieces of what just happened. You know that you
just watched David die. But you don't remember how. You are trying to figure
out what just happened when you hear him.
"Jeff.
Jeff help me, please!" It's David. But is it a trick.
Do you try to help your friend again?

Quickly
you insert the key, you try turning it but it is stuck.
"Help
me, it's stuck." You say.
David
hits the wall above the key and it turns.
"That
always worked in the movies!" He said.
The
wall didn't move.
"Hit
it again!" You say. But before he could hit it the floor started to rumble,
and it began to move upwards.
"Oh
no!" Yells Nick. "What the...." You start to say, when you
see that the ceiling is getting very close.
"Nick
make it stop!"
"Stop,
stop, stop!" He yells, but it's no use.
The
ceiling is almost on you and you know that the end is here. You close your
eyes and cover your head. You here screaming, and it's very loud, it's so
loud it hurts your ears. Then you realize that it is the three of you screaming.
And you've stopped moving. Slowly you open your eyes, you are in a gray room.

You
crawl slowly into the small dog house. It is so tight that the walls and the
roof are rubbing against you. You put your hand in something, an awful smell
seems to hit you in the face with some force, your hand feels warm and gooey.
You try to strain your eyes to see what it is but you can't. You can only
guess. You try to shake the horrible images from your mind, and go on. Just
a few feet further you have enough room to turn you head, and with the light
from the opening you can see what you put your hand in. It looks like your
hand sunk into the rotted skull of some kind of gross looking humanoid, your
hand made it's brains ooze out of it's eye sockets and out of the hole you
made. You also notice your coat sleeve is covered with brains. You feel like
you are going to barf, and wonder if you'll ever be hungry enough to eat your
lunch.
You
continue on, when suddenly the floor gives way and you fall into a large room.
There's a torch on the wall that gives off some light. You see David, he looks
like he is all right, but he's not saying anything.
"David,
it's me, Jeff." You say.
"Jeff,
quick we've got to get out of here. They are coming back, they'll kill us
both."
There's
only one way out, other than up and you two can't climb up the slimy walls.

There's
a dark passage to the west, David says to take the torch so you can see better.
As you take it the floor begins to rumble as another passage way opens to
the south.
Which way will you go.

You
have nothing that you can use to cross the hole.
"I
can use my magic." Says Nick.
"Yea,
we've seen your magic." You laugh.
Nick
can use his magic, or the three of you can fall into the pit of nothingness,
or you could be tonight's dinner!
"Go
ahead Nick, see what you can do." Laughs David.
"I
command this hole to close!!" Nick says.
"You
call that a spell?" You ask.
"I
don't know one for holes, okay. I command this hole to close. "
Before Nick finishes the hole begins to close.
"Hurry."
Nick hollers. "I don't know how long it will stay closed."
The
three of you jump over the small gap that has already begun to reopen, and
slam painfully into an invisible wall. You only have a very small ledge to
stand on, and it is getting smaller as the hole is reopening.
"Start
looking for an opening in the wall!" You yell.
