"I still can't read Elfin. Nick is something wrong, you are acting weird. Well, weirder than before." You ask. "I hate Bats." Nick says taking the note back. He begins to read. "Before the setting of the sun, these few things must be done. the monsters, trolls and hobgoblins must be beaten. You must survive the dungeons, and not be eaten. The house level is to gather clues and power. You must say the spell before the 7th hour. Keep track of the lines to the spell. Put them all in order, and all will be well. This is the first line. 'From everyone before us, we call their powers.' Good luck, you'll need it." "Let's put the paper and the potion in my backpack." You suggest.

158

"Okay, let's go." Says David. Do you want to leave through the North door? page 109 Do you want to leave through the West door? page 184 Do you leave through the South - West door? page 190

159

You are back in the gray room that you started in. "It looks like we are back to the beginning." David says. "Or maybe the end." You add. "Okay, it's up to us. We have the spell, and we have put in the right order. Right?" Nick asks. "I guess." You answer. "Let's go." Slowly and carefully the three of you walk through the South door. Go to page 141.

160

When you enter the room you see that it is lit very well. The walls are red, blood red (of course). This room has four doors, the one you came through, one to the East, one to the South-East, and one to the South. "Out." You say commanding you fingers to go out. And David and Nick do the same. "Look, is that a puppy in the corner?" You ask. "I most certainly am not!" A very aggravated voice responds. Then something no bigger than a football, seems to rise from the corner and fly towards you. "I am a dragon, you silly little boy. And I have powers beyond your wildest imagination." The little dragon tells you. "Jeff, look out, what's that?" Yells David. You turn around in time to see a hobgoblins head coming up through the floor. "They are here." It screeches. Within seconds the room was filled with hobgoblins riding mad dogs.

161

You shoot one with your cross bow and you see David is battling another with his dagger. You look for Nick, but he is not in the battle, he is just standing there shaking his head at the dragon who is yelling something at him. "Nick, help us!" You yell. "I can't, I'm not powerful enough." He say. "The cat stuff!" Yells David. "I can't." Nick says. "We will die if you don't do something." You say. "But we could die if I use it wrong." Argues Nick. "We will die without it, we might die with it, I'll take my chances. We trust you. Now do it!" You yell, and throw him your backpack. Nick takes the bottle out of the backpack. "Please let it work." Nick yells as the bottle smashes on the far wall. The whole wall turns into a giant cat, but it is like a movie screen. The cat starts yowling and hissing, all of the dogs turn and head after the cat.

162

The dogs jump on the wall and in the mouth of the cat. The cat bites the dogs in half. Swallowing it's half and trying to reach for the remainder on the floor, but it can't come away from the wall. The cat then sit's down and starts to clean itself. "It's like watching a regular house cat on T.V." David says. "This is weird." You say. "Oh, and has there been anything not weird about today?" David asks. "No, I guess not." You laugh. "Hey, Nick, not to bad for someone who couldn't do it." David says. "I don't believe it myself. It's like a dream. I shouldn't be powerful enough to do that." Nick says. "I think we have a lot of help down here." You add. "It was the dragon." Nick says. "Where did he go?" David asks.

163

"I am here, little boy." Says the dragon flying above two trunks. "One contains a thousand deaths, the other contains your lives. Chose wisely!" And with that the dragon disappeared. Which will you open? The one to the left? page 187 The one to the right? page 185

164

The room that you have just entered is so bright it is almost blinding. "This is like looking into the sun." You say. "Close your eyes. I can fix this." Says Nick. "Where is it? Here it is." He whispers. "Lights be off!" He commands. And with that the light disappears. "Fingers on, you can open your eyes." "This magic stuff is really cool." You say. "It was nothing." Nick says smiling. "No kidding, it was nothing, look he just hit the light switch behind him." Says David laughing. "Great wizard, Nick." You say. "All spells work differently, that one just needed a light switch." Nick answers. "Look at this." David says. In the center of the room is a very large podium, with an even larger book on in. "It's a spell book, and the room is filled with potions and ingredients to make the spells work." Nick tells you.

165

Looking around the room, you see many jars filled with weird looking things. Some are filled with powders, some have liquids in them and some have body parts. Parts of animals, elves, humans and some things that you can't identify. "Here's a note." Says David. Nick takes the note and begins to read. "Seven rooms have come and gone, you have gathered wisdom and weapons, now you are strong. United the three of you must fight, the Warlock must die before the night. With the spell you have put together, your will and our help will end this forever. The Warlock lies in the house at it's center, remember this when you choose the door to enter." "Seven, we've only been through six. We must have gone through the wrong door." You say. The three of turn and go back out the door that you came in. Go to page 79.

166

You run through the West door with out slowing down. David slams the door behind him. It's like you are standing outside. This room is full of green plants and has windows all around the it, and the skylight in the ceiling is broken out. It is storming outside and the rain is coming through the skylight like someone was dumping a bucket out. "Look, my fingers don't go out even in the rain. But I can't see very well, the rain is dark." Says David. "I'm going to try to rinse all the disgusting things off of what's left of my coat, and out of my hair. We are all ready wet, we might as well be clean." You say. "Yea, but if we rinse the smell off He might be able to find us." Nick warns. "We don't seem to have a choice, the rain is coming down so hard we are all ready clean." Says David. "This does feel good, it's even warm." You say turning you face into the rain to feel the warmth. You open your mouth to drink the water when David screams. "It's blood!!! Jeff the rain is blood!"

167

Just then a flash of lightning lights up the sky and you see hundreds of trolls, men, elves and other critters that you can not identify, hanging from a very high ceiling with blood pouring from their bodies. "This is too gross. I'm out of here!" You yell trying to spit the blood out of your mouth. "We don't have the line yet." David reminds you. "How are we supposed to find it here? There is six inches of blood on the floor." You ask. "Let me try a spell, I have to make it up to fit the circumstances." Nick says. "Got a problem Nick?" You ask after a few seconds. "Yea, what rhymes with together?" Nick asks. "Feather." Answers David. "I guess that will do." Nick says as he begins his spell.

168

"Room of blood, and bodies above, come together, be light as a feather. Blood return to your bodies, bodies except your blood. Heal the bodies, fill them with life. Do it quickly, do everything right." Within seconds the blood is flying quickly up to the hanging bodies. Bodies start to float down to the floor. "Thank you." One whispers. "The danger of what you have just done is great. The Warlock will know we are no longer dead and will come here. We can help you, we will split up and go many different ways. The Warlock will not know which group you are in. He will send his trolls to follow us, but there are more of us than them. This time, with your help we will win. Even if some of us die, when you kill the Warlock, if you kill him by the 7th hour, we will all return to our homes, and our worlds will be saved." "The line, do you know where the line is?" You ask. "It is here." He says handing you a piece of paper, and another potion. "Good luck, and good bye." You turn to hand them both to Nick, and when you turn back around they are gone.

169

"What happened?" You ask puzzled. "They have magic, they will help us well." Nick says. "Well, what does this one say?" You ask. Nick unfolds the paper and looks at it. "It makes no sense." He says. "Let me see?" You ask. "Jeff, I am here. I can help you too. Trust your instincts. Here is the next line 'From you we will have no fear.' Love Dad" "It's from my father, how did he get here? Where is he? Is he okay?" You ask frantically. "He is here because you need him, but he's not really here. He is inside of you. With all the magic and powers around here, you are pulling him out." Nick explains. "Do you have any cheeseburgers inside, that you could pull out, I'm really getting hungry." David jokes. "Look here is a crossbow." You say. "And a dagger."

170

"I'll take the dagger." Says David. "Do you think we'll need these? So far everything we've seen has been dead and friendly." You state. "Well, they didn't kill themselves, ya know." David reminds you. "What about the potion?" You ask. "It just says 'Sweets'." Nick says. "Do we eat it?" You ask. "I don't think so. I've never heard of a potion that you drink. There are some that you feed to others, like to poison them." Nick tells you. "Yea, 'excuse me Mr. Warlock will you please eat this potion called 'sweets' and die.' Oh, I see this working." You say sarcastically. "I don't think that will work." Nick says seriously. You and David laugh. "I was kidding." "Let's go. The quicker we get done the quicker we will eat." Nick says.

171

There are two doors, the one you came through, to the East, and a door to the South. "Well we don't have much of a choice this time, we can go out the door to the South or we could go out the door to the South." Says David. "Let's make it the door to the South." You add. Go to page 160

172

The room you have entered is red, blood red (of course.) "You are mine!!" Bellows the Warlock. "Look!" Hollers Nick. There are hobgoblins riding mad dogs coming up through the floor. Before you knew what was happening, a mad dog bit Nick's head off. His headless body fell in a lump to the floor. "This is not good." You say, picking up Nick sword. A hobgoblins easily knocks the sword out of your hand. You and David are helpless against them and will soon die. The End!!!

173

The room that you have just entered is so bright it is almost blinding. "This is like looking into the sun." You say. "Close your eyes. I can fix this." Says Nick. "Where is it? Here it is." He whispers. "Lights be off!" He commands. And with that the light disappears. "Fingers on, you can open your eyes." "This magic stuff is really cool." You say. "It was nothing." Nick says smiling. "It's a spell book, and the room is filled with potions and ingredients to make the spells work." Nick tells you.

174

Looking around the room, you see many jars filled with weird looking things. Some are filled with powders, some have liquids in them and some have body parts. Parts of animals, elves, humans and some things that you can't identify. "To call forth the greatest evil that exists," Nick reads, "you will need the following: 4 Dust of seahorse tail, seven tails. 4 Two scoops of rotten ape brains. Essence of three brave and resourceful beings. 4 One vile of fly snot. 4 Six pounds of bat wings. Boil all for ten days, then command the great evil to come forth." "Hey, here is the rotted ape brains." David calls. "Yea, all of the things but one are checked off. 'Essence of three brave and resourceful beings," is the only one left." Nick says. "So is that us?" You ask, knowing the answer. "I wonder how many others have tried and failed? " "Here's a piece of paper, it was on the floor." You say, handing it to Nick.

175

"There are no lines in this room, be careful we are all counting on you." He says. "There is only one way out of this room. Choose the right way or you will surly die. Good luck, you'll need it." There are four doors out of the room. The door you are facing is to the North. There is one to the East and one to the West. There is also the door that you came in to the South. Which will you take? North door? Page 184 East door? Page 156 West door? Page 79

176

As soon as you run through the door it slams shut behind you and the lights go out. "On!" Commands Nick, and the fingers on everyone's left hand light up, leaving your right hands free to fight the giant bats which fill the orange room. Nick attacks with his sword. You and David have nothing but your backpack. Swinging it at the bats only seemed to make them mad. Landing on top of you the bat sunk it's claws into and through your shoulder. Then it flew up to then rafters, holding onto the rafters with one clawed foot, it took you into it's little hands that are at the end of it's wings. Wrapping you beneath it's wings, it sticks it's head down inside and begins to bite of the top of your head. All of the noise below has stopped. You can only guess that your friends are also being eaten. The End!!!

177

You enter the kitchen of the old house. "It doesn't look like they use this kitchen any more." You say. "Why do you say that?" David asked. "No blowtorches." You answer. Looking around the room, everything looks normal, except the floor is covered with small bones. "What are these bones from?" David asked. "They look like mice or rats. They must have gotten trapped in here and starved to death." You answer. "With all these cabinets, we will never find the clue." Nick says, as he starts opening the cabinets. "Ouch! What was that?" Yells David. "What's wrong? Ahhh! Something bit me." You say. "Look, they are tiny people. And they are trying to eat us." Says David as he stomps one and squashes it like a bug.

178

"Well at least we can kill them easy enough. There are only a few, so we can just squash them, or climb up on the cabinets." You say squashing away. "They are 'Pygmy Piranha People', and there are never just a few." Nick starts to explain. "Whoa!" You yell when you see that the entire floor and the cabinets are covered with them. They are chewing through you pants, and they are all over you. "How are we supposed to kill these?" David asks. "Use the Timestopper, Jeff!" Nick says. Quickly you grab the Timestopper and flip it over. Everything freezes except you and the ten or twelve Piranha People that are on you. Easily you kill them. But now what do you do. You search for the next line and find it. Now you are standing on Pygmies and looking at your friends. If you turned the Timestopper back over, you and your friends would never make it to the door. There is nothing in your backpack but clues and the potion called 'Sweets'. "Great, what do I do with this? There is no way this tiny bottle could kill all of them, even if I could get them to drink it." You say.

179

"I wish Nick could tell me how to use this, or even if it would work. We smashed the other bottles to release the potions. So, here goes nothing." With that, you smash the bottle on the floor. A smog covered the floor, and and rose about six inches, then disappears. "Nothing happened!!" You have no choice you must turn the Timestopper back over. First you knock all the Pygmies off of David and Nick, and kick them away, hoping that you will have enough time to make it to the door. You turn the Timestopper over. David and Nick are trying to get the Pygmies off of them when they realize that they aren't there. "Hurry, get to the door!" You yell. But before you can make it half way there the three of you are covered with Pygmies again. "Look, they have no teeth. And their mouths are filled with some kind of greenish, smelly pus." David says. When the Pygmies figure out that they have no teeth, they run screaming back to where they came from. "How did that happen?" Asks Nick. "I turned the Timestopper over, then threw the bottle of 'Sweets' on the floor.

180

And I thought dad was kidding when he said that sweets would make your teeth fall out." You answer. "Great, now we will have time to find the next line." Says David. "I got that too, when the I stopped the time. Here, Nick." You say. "Our friends and our powers will make it so." Reads Nick. "Let's go." Adds David. There are two doors out, the one to the left, that you just came through. And one on the right. You go through the one on the right. Go to page 173

181

You hear some people outside of the trunk talking. "What did you say, Nick?" You ask. "That wasn't me, it just sounded like me." Nick said. The trunk begins to open and you see the three of you looking down at you. "Not again!!!" You scream. "What do you mean?" Asks the living David. "It's happening again, just like before." You say. "This is the thousand horrible deaths." "I didn't say that. But it sounded like me." You answer. Out of the trunk flies thousands of little winged creatures. Swarming around your heads like annoying gnats. They swoop down on you and rip the flesh off of your face. They are so tiny that it hurts no more that a mosquito bite. When you swat them they seem to die easily and fall to the floor. "Jeff!!!" David yells. "Look at the floor."

182

Looking at the floor you see that every time you kill or hurt one they double in size, and you see some of them have been killed more that once. "We can't hit them any more." You say. "It's to late, some of them are already big enough to kill us. They are vultures, they will rip us apart." Nick tells you. "What now?" Asks David. "Get out, we must find a door." Nick says. You are running around trying to find a door. The vultures have ripped your cloths to shreds and have really begun to tear off large hunks of skin. "Jeff!" Yells David. When you turn, you see that his arm is gone. Laying on the floor next to him is a bone completely picked clean of all meat and skin. Nick who had been screaming out spells was all of the sudden silent. "Nick?" You call, but no one answers. When a bony hand touches your shoulder. You turn just in time to see a vulture rip Nick's last eye straight from it's socket.
