Nick falls to the floor and within seconds his bones are completely picked clean of all flesh. You think you are going to throw up so you cover you mouth. This is when you discover that you have no flesh below your nose, just your skeleton. David has also fallen by now. The skeletal remains are carried off to the trunk. Before you realize it you too are in the trunk. "Am I dead?" You ask, talking to yourself. "Yes and no." Answers Nick, as the trunk slammed shut. "I thought you were dead." You say. "I guess none of us are." Answers David. "At least the pain is gone. I don't ever want to go through anything like that again." Go to page 181

You enter a small room, that is black as pitch. All of the sudden the floor disappears and you begin to fall, slowly like you are floating. "Thanks, Nick." You say. "I didn't do it." Nick answers. "Then why are we floating and not falling?" David asks. "This is the pit of Neverness." Nick answers. "Isn't this where we are supposed to send the Warlock?" You ask. "Yea, that's the problem. We will continue to fall until we starve to death, then our dead bodies will fall. When we rot and there is nothing left but our bones, they too will fall forever. "This stinks!" You scream. With your eyes closed as tight as you can, slowly you open the trunk. "All right!" Says Nick. You made the right choice. You open your eyes, and see an hourglass and a piece of paper. Nick picks up the hourglass. "This looks familiar." He says. Nick turns the hourglass over. "Look at how slow it runs." When you don't answer, Nick looks up to see what's wrong. You and David are frozen. Quickly he flips the hourglass back over. "That's it, it's the Timestopper." Nick tells you. "What?" David asks. "A Timestopper, when the person holding it turns it upside down, everything else freezes in time." "Cool, like a giant pause button." You say. "Hey, there's a piece of paper in here too." David says.

You open the trunk and see three skeletons. "Not again!!!" You hear yourself scream, but you didn't say a word. "What do you mean?" Asks David. "I didn't say that. But it sounded like me." You answer. Out of the trunk flies thousands of little winged creatures. Swarming around your heads like annoying gnats. They swoop down on you and rip the flesh off of your face. They are so tiny that it hurts no more that a mosquito bite. When you swat them they seem to die easily and fall to the floor. "Jeff!!!" David yells. "Look at the floor." Looking at the floor you see that every time you kill or hurt one they double in size, and you see some of them have been killed more that once. "We can't hit them any more." You say. "It's to late, some of them are already big enough to kill us. They are vultures, they will rip us apart." Nick tells you. "What now?" Asks David.

"Get out, we must find a door." Nick says. You are running around trying to find a door. The vultures have ripped your cloths to shreds and have really begun to tear off large hunks of skin. "Jeff!" Yells David. When you turn, you see that his arm is gone. Laying on the floor next to him is a bone completely picked clean of all meat and skin. Nick who had been screaming out spells was all of the sudden silent. "Nick?" You call, but no one answers. When a bony hand touches your shoulder. The room that you have just entered is so bright it is almost blinding. "This is like looking into the sun." You say, when you notice that the room is moving. "What's this?" David asks. As your eyes begin to adjust you see that the room is filled with trolls. They are scurrying around paying no attention to you. When a large dark being enters the room. "Are you blind!!!" He yells. "No master, is something wrong?" One asks. "Yes, you idiots. They are here! To the kitchen." He commands. And with a wave of his hand, the three of you are sent to the kitchen. You appear in the kitchen, you are already strapped to a table. When you see a troll with a blowtorch heading towards you. You try to scream for help but you can't move, all you can do is watch in horror as the troll burns off all of your skin and then burns the skin off of your friends. You can't feel any pain. The End!!!

"From everyone before us, we call their powers. The Warlock will be gone before the 7th hour." Nick begins. "NO!!!" Screams the Warlock. And with a wave of his hand Nick's tongue falls to the ground. "What's the next line?!" You yell. "Our courage and strength has brought us here, from you we will have no fear." David says. The Warlock waves his hand again, and David falls to the floor. "To the Neverness you must go, our friends and our powers will make it so." You finish. The room begins to shake, the creatures both dead and alive return to their natural selves. "I must hurry." Hollers Wedom the Time mender, as he runs from the room. "Good luck." Nick calls. "Your tong." You ask. "I am fine, all the spells are broken." Says Nick.

The walls are crumbling down and the room starts to spin. The room is going so fast that you and David are spinning in the air. You don't know what's going on, the noise is so loud that you can't hear David screaming. All of the sudden you and David are dropped on the street outside old man Jenkins house. Your cloths are clean and not torn. "Thank you." You hear Nick say. "I'll be seeing you." "Jeff, what just happened?" David asked. "I'm not sure." You answer. "But no one is going to believe us." "What time is it?" David asks. "8:20" You answer tapping on your watch to make sure it's running. "Hey, you kids." Someone yells. You turn to see old man Jenkins. "You are going to be late for school if you don't hurry." The two of you look at each other, you start to laugh and take off running as fast as you can to school.

You and David make it to school on time, barely. You don't talk about it again until lunch. While you and David are talking you reach you hand into you lunch bag to get your sandwich out. Your hand gushes into something very nasty. "What the...." You start to say as you pull your hand out of the bag. Your hand is covered in rotted ape brains. When David starts to take a bite of his sandwich he sees that it is full of maggots. "I'm gonna be sick." Says David. "I didn't want you to forget me." Nick says from nowhere. With that your hand is covered in potato chips, and David's sandwich is just a normal peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "Real funny Nick." You say. "Yea, real funny." David agrees. You hear Nick's laughter fading. "I wonder if we will ever see him again?" David asks. "You can bet on it." You answer laughing. The End!!!

"You fools! You can't even get a spell right." Laughs the Warlock. "Get them." The monster walks past the creatures that are fighting him, knocking them over like they were toys. Nick attacks him, the monster knocks Nick to the ground and takes the sword and snaps it like a twig. The arrows from your crossbow don't seem to affect him. He grabs you and throws you against the wall. As soon as you hit the wall the Warlock throws a spear through your chest. Within minuets David and Nick are beside you. "I will win now! Prepare them." The Warlock tell the monster. Then the Warlock disappears. The monster comes over to you and cuts off one of your toes. "Ahhh.... What's going on." You scream. "He is draining our essence. We will continue to bleed until all of our blood is gone, then our bones and mussels will dissolve and drain out of our toe. We will still be alive even when we are only a skin shell." Nick explains. The End!!!

You walk into the blue room again. You turn to leave knowing that you made the wrong choice. "The door is gone." You say. "I guess we will have to use another door." Says David. The three of you start searching for doors. "There are no other doors." Says Nick. "The walls are moving." David yells. "We are going to be squashed." There is nothing that you can do. The walls close in on you quickly. Nick tries to stop it with his sword. But the sword snaps in half without even slowing the walls. When the walls are only ten inches apart they seem to stop. "They've stopped." David says. "No they didn't, they have slowed down. The Warlock is going to slowly squish us. It one of the ways to get our essence." Nick tells you. The walls have squashed you face to the point that you can no longer talk. The End!!!
